Clearwater Coffee Company began in Boulder, Colorado in 2008 to build a community locally at their coffeeshop and to make an impact globally with their profits by building water wells, prioritizing safe water needs in the countries from which they source the world’s best coffee.
Clearwater Coffee Co is expanding and needed a refreshing exterior and interior experience (including new, sustainably printed coffee cups and a punch card for loyal patrons) and projecting that same experience onto store shelves with 3 blends.
As I approached the brand identity re-brand, I was inspired by Boulder's natural environment. It was important for the new identity to reflect their love of coffee and safe water.
The inspiration behind the updated Clearwater Coffee Co. mark and identity happened because of the natural curve of the font Rockwell. Its unique curves helped inspire the main logo.
The design style reinforces the flowy nature of water and passion to create coffee.
